Terry F. Pettijohn is an associate professor of psychology at Coastal Carolina University. As an undergraduate, he attended The Ohio State University, where he earned his B.S. in 1995. He attended the University of Georgia for graduate studies, obtaining his M.S. in 1997 and receiving his Ph.D. in social psychology in 1999.

Professor Pettijohn's current research interests include:

• Close relationships: Attraction, intimacy, commitment, satisfaction

• Emotions: Love, trust, jealousy, happiness, embarrassment

• Facial and body feature preferences and measurement

• Instructional Technology Methods

He is a member of the Association for Psychological Science, the American Psychological Association, the Society of Personality and Social Psychology, and the Society for the Teaching of Psychology.
